Meet the team

“The combination of rigorous research and multi-industry work is what made IDR stand out to me. It’s given me the chance to expand my knowledge beyond one discipline, take on more responsibility and keep learning every day.”

What attracted you to IDR?

It was the focus on research. Throughout high school, college and my work as a nutritionist-dietitian, research was always a core part of what I did – from reviewing literature and methodologies to understanding trends.

When I applied to IDR, I expected something similar to academic or scientific research. Once I joined, I realized it was a different type of research: partnering with clients on primary market research projects, engaging with experts and exploring multiple sources beyond just journals and citations.

What really appealed to me was the chance to expand beyond one discipline. Instead of staying solely in science, I’ve been able to build knowledge across marketing, healthcare and other sectors, and I’m still learning every day. That combination of rigorous research and multi-industry exposure is what made IDR stand out for me.

02

How has your role evolved since you joined IDR?

I joined IDR in September 2025 and was promoted to senior analyst in July 2026, which was a quick progression. Since then, my role and skillset have evolved significantly.

I’ve developed much more confidence in communicating with potential experts and clients. I’ve learned to make my approach friendly and conversational, whilst still being professional and clear about the study.

I now handle more complex tasks, including designing screeners, conducting interviews, and multiple projects.

I’ve also taken on informal leadership responsibilities: supporting colleagues with projects and coaching them to play to their strengths where I see the opportunity.

03

What’s a project or achievement at IDR that you’re particularly proud of?

Since joining IDR, I’ve worked on 50+ projects, but a few stand out.

One project I’m especially proud of was a solo study in South Korea focusing on high earners. It was an extremely busy period, with many interested experts to coordinate, but I managed to secure five to six experts out of a target of ten that was set for the group as a whole. Out of roughly 300 experts contacted by our small team of three, I brought in the largest share of confirmed experts.

04

What has been your favorite part of working at IDR?

I would say it’s a combination of the people and the work itself.

Firstly, I’m very proud of my team in the Philippines. They’ve built a strong capability in handling research across APAC, and we collaborate closely with other APAC teams, like those in Pakistan, to ensure projects are delivered successfully. It’s a very collaborative environment and my colleagues are some of the most supportive people I’ve worked with.

Secondly, I love the variety of studies and topics. Every day, I’m exposed to new subjects and key themes, and I enjoy synthesizing complex information into knowledge that I can share with potential leads and experts. Seeing experts feel informed, satisfied and happy to participate – whether in interviews or surveys – is genuinely rewarding.

05

What would you tell someone who is thinking about joining IDR?

For anyone thinking about joining IDR as an analyst, be prepared.

You need to be prepared at every stage of a project – from initial recruitment and screening through to follow-ups and final delivery. Your colleagues and team leads rely on you to handle your project tasks reliably, and experts you engage with will expect you to be organized and informed.

Being prepared is closely linked to earning trust and respect. Experts and clients need to trust that you understand the project brief and will manage their time well. Your team needs to trust that you’ll deliver on your responsibilities.

I also believe in leading with kindness – being thoughtful about how you communicate. If you combine preparedness with kindness and a willingness to learn, IDR can be a place where you grow very quickly and build a strong professional reputation.
