Meet the team

“The expert network industry was completely new to me, which made IDR an exciting challenge. Since joining, I’ve worked with people across industries and markets, built strong client relationships and developed skills and confidence that have pushed me beyond my local market.”

What attracted you to IDR?

Puerto Rico is a small market, and although there are many industries, expert networks were completely unknown here. That sense of mystery and curiosity is what drew me in. I wanted to understand what an expert network actually is, why people get paid for one-hour interviews, and how this model works globally.

IDR offered the chance to speak with people from all over the world and be one of the first in Puerto Rico to do this kind of work. The combination of doing something new, gaining global exposure, and stretching myself beyond the local market was the main attraction.

02

How has your role evolved since you joined IDR?

I started as a Client Services Analyst, handling around 10–15 projects and doing very operational work: acknowledging requests, passing information between the client and the internal team, and following instructions. It felt quite transactional at first.

After about a year, I was promoted to Client Services Associate. The title change came with a mindset shift. I became much more involved in shaping projects, deciding which experts are the right fit, and proactively guiding clients. Over time, you develop an instinct for what clients need, even when they don’t fully articulate it. The biggest evolution has been moving from a basic coordinator to a partner who builds deeper, ongoing relationships with clients.

03

What’s a project or achievement at IDR that you’re particularly proud of?

Across my time at IDR, I’ve closed around 200 projects, which I believe is among the highest in the company. That volume alone is something I’m proud of.

One standout achievement was with a new client who was a solo founder running her own company. We started with simple email exchanges and gradually progressed to meetings and phone calls. Over the course of the project, we built a relationship from scratch based on trust and consistent delivery. By the end, she was so satisfied that she referred us to other clients and left a very positive review. That experience really captures what I value most: turning a first-time client into a strong advocate for IDR.

04

What has been your favorite part of working at IDR?

The people and the relationships I’ve built, both externally with clients and internally with colleagues.

Coming from Puerto Rico, it’s incredible to work daily with people across the US and beyond that I would never have met otherwise. Some clients now feel closer to friends.

Internally, collaboration with the team is essential, and those relationships make the work more enjoyable and effective. As someone very outgoing and extroverted, this role gives me constant interaction, connection, and the sense of being part of a global community. That human element is what I enjoy most about working at IDR.

05

What would you tell someone who is thinking about joining IDR?

Join for the challenge and stay for the experience.

This isn’t an easy, routine role. It’s fast-paced, demanding, and pushes you to adapt to different personalities, industries, and project needs. But that challenge is exactly what makes it so valuable for your growth.

Expert networks touch a huge range of sectors—healthcare, technology, finance and more. You gain exposure to topics and perspectives you wouldn’t see in most other roles. The learning curve can be steep and there are stressful moments, but the skills, knowledge, and confidence you develop are highly transferable. For someone at the start of their career, IDR is a strong launchpad that opens doors in many directions.
